Community Forum – August 22, 2013

On Thursday, August 22, the Washtenaw Health Initiative co-sponsored a community forum about health care reform with the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber and Michigan Consumers for Healthcare. The United Way of Washtenaw County graciously hosted the event, which drew more than 50 people, more than half of whom were from the local small business community.

The forum focused on education, outreach, and enrollment opportunities in our community for enrollment into Medicaid or private insurance on the health insurance marketplaces.

The WHI is working to coordinate education, outreach, and enrollment efforts across the county. To get involved, contact the WHI Project Manager, Carrie Rheingans, at crheinga@med.umich.edu or 734-998-7567.
