DESCRIPTION:Join the Washtenaw County Healthy Aging Collaborative for a convening of stakeholders and community leaders to discuss closing gaps for access & availability in the senior transportation sector for Washtenaw County.  \n\n\n\nThis summit will convene stakeholders with interests in aging and from the transportation sector to examine the challenges of accessibility\, availability\, and affordability of senior transportation services in Washtenaw County. The purpose of this meeting is to bring stakeholders together to champion solutions and create more equitable transportation options in Washtenaw County. \n\n\n\nSummit speakers include Dale Berry\, co-chair of the Washtenaw County Healthy Aging Collaborative\, Matt Carpenter\, chief executive officer of the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA)\, Sue Ann Savas\, program evaluation consultant at the University of Michigan School of Social Work\, Kate Schramm\, director of programs and partnerships at Feonix Mobility Rising\, and others. Facilitated discussions will follow each presentation. \n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\nRVSP on Eventbrite.  \n\n\n\nAlthough this summit is designed for in-person engagement\, limited virtual attendance is available upon request. SUMMARY:Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment (MMOE)
DESCRIPTION:Members of the Washtenaw Health Initiative’s Medicaid/Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment work group meet monthly to discuss ongoing work. RSVP to attend. \nIn recent years\, the federal government has made substantial changes to the funding and organization of outreach\, education\, and enrollment activities for the Health Insurance Marketplace. These changes have made recent open enrollment periods shorter\, have reduced funding for advertising open enrollment\, and have reduced funding for staff at local organizations that provide enrollment assistance. The Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment Work Group has focused on ensuring that these barriers don’t prevent vulnerable populations in Washtenaw County from applying for the health insurance they require. \nAs the state prepares for Medicaid work requirements\, which go into effect in January 2020\, the Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment work group will ensure that those who qualify for the Healthy Michigan Plan know when and how to take action\, receive assistance with exemption applications\, and have the ongoing support they need to maintain coverage. \nJoin Our Zoom Meetings\nMeeting link: https://umich.zoom.us/j/98901351766Passcode: 33333

SUMMARY:Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment (MMOE)
DESCRIPTION:Members of the Washtenaw Health Initiative’s Medicaid/Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment work group meet monthly to discuss ongoing work. RSVP to attend. \nIn recent years\, the federal government has made substantial changes to the funding and organization of outreach\, education\, and enrollment activities for the Health Insurance Marketplace. These changes have made recent open enrollment periods shorter\, have reduced funding for advertising open enrollment\, and have reduced funding for staff at local organizations that provide enrollment assistance. The Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment Work Group has focused on ensuring that these barriers don’t prevent vulnerable populations in Washtenaw County from applying for the health insurance they require. \nAs the state prepares for Medicaid work requirements\, which go into effect in January 2020\, the Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment work group will ensure that those who qualify for the Healthy Michigan Plan know when and how to take action\, receive assistance with exemption applications\, and have the ongoing support they need to maintain coverage. \nJoin Our Zoom Meetings\nMeeting link: https://umich.zoom.us/j/98901351766Passcode: 33333
