WHI featured in new article spotlighting a decade of progress

Concentrate—an online publication that regularly reports on the people, programs, and organizations that are making a positive difference in our community—recently published an article about the WHI’s 10th anniversary and history of the collaborative.

The story highlights how the WHI’s work has evolved since 2011, when it formed to help county leaders prepare to implement the Affordable Care Act locally. The author, Jaishree Drepaul-Bruder, describes the local health issues that WHI work groups have been tackling, including opioid use, uninsurance, underinsurance among the general population and social isolation and food needs among homebound seniors and individuals aging with disabilities.

The story also features quotes from WHI members, and backbone staff, including Sharon Moore, Norman Herbert, Matthew Hill, Eve Losman, Sara Szczotka, Alena Hill, Kimberly Hulbert, Jeremy Lapedis, Ann Davis, Monica Price, Amanda Sears, and Deana Smith.
