Tendai Thomas, MD, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at IHA and associate division head of internal medicine, leading quality initiatives. She chairs IHA’s recently created Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council.
Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, completed her internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, and was recognized as Internal Medicine Resident of the Year in 2002-2003.
She has extensive experience in outpatient and inpatient care in the Ann Arbor area. Her clinical interests include weight management, women’s health, diabetes, steroid joint injections, and hypertension.
In her spare time, Dr. Thomas enjoys reading, real estate investing, spending time with her family, and long distance running.
